I need to hear your voice.

You know how we said it couldn’t get worse after what happened with Jeremy? It did. We were in the middle of nowhere Idaho, no fucking phone service, and Felix got jumped by these psychos. He’s okay. He’s got a broken nose (which they said wasn’t severe), and his ribs are bruised, so he’s in a lot of pain just breathing. But it was terrifying, Jason. I didn’t know what they were going to do to him. He keeps saying he wants to go home, and I don’t blame him. He definitely can’t play tonight, and it’s not like we can find someone who can learn our songs in eight hours.

Veta is a total mess. She didn’t sleep at all last night, and she’s been talking like she’s on speed, saying we need to post a description of these guys on every single Idaho and Washington message board we can. She’s been contacting every news station in the Pacific Northwest, every online newspaper. And when they don’t respond right away or show interest, she gets really upset, like making-a-scene-in-public upset. We’re trying to help her, and we’re trying to be there for Felix. We’re making far less than we’d hoped. We don’t even have a place to stay tonight.
